Well we have made it to the end of an incredibly busy term but this week has seen our learning leap into length as we have been focusing our skills on developing an understanding around the measurement units of millimetres, centimetres and metres. We now have a much stronger understanding of these dimensions. English and Science joined forces this week as we planted seeds and used this experience to write our own instructions. Dolphins were able to use their knowledge of non chronological reports to help them with their layout and the introduction. Unfortunately, we have to report that our science prediction did not work out as planned because neither the roses or celery changed colour. Dolphins concluded that this must have been due to the temperature of the water and the humidity of the room. However, as we have gathered from our topic “Scientists through Time” curiosity and determination go hand in hand so we hope for better luck in our next experiment.
