It has been another very busy week of learning in the Dolphin classroom. It was Number Day on Tuesday and as a school we celebrated Twosday, the palindromic date 22.2.22. We practised our doubling techniques, rapid recall of the two times table including division facts, finding number sentences to balance with a total of 22 and timing our ability to complete tasks in 22 seconds. Dolphins had 22 minutes on each activity which added to the Twosday excitement. Take a look at our photographs too.
English this week started with an experience day linked to our continued text, Krindlekrax in which we explored a sewer. We climbed inside our role play sewer to experience the narrow chambers, listened to sounds of the dripping water and eerie sounds of the sewer before smelling some unusual scents related to the Krindlekrax sewer. Dolphins had a great time and produced some fantastic vocabulary and expanded noun phrases ready for their extended writing. During art we continued our observational skills as we sketched x rays. These are fantastic and link closely with the work of Marie Curie. Well done Dolphins!
