This week in Dolphins we have been researching facts about elephants and penguins depending on our group. These notes have then been organised into categories so that we could use the class model to independently write our own non chronological report. We found some very interesting information, not to mention a collection of great ‘Did you know facts?’ In maths, our classroom was transformed into a giant coordinate grid so that we could practise our ability to plot and read coordinates. After we have mastered this, we went on to reason and problem solve with our grids. Dolphins now feel that they could find places on a map. Our plants are growing at a rapid rate and today we have started another science investigation to see how water is transported through a plant. We can’t wait to see the results of our experiment! Will the flowers change colour or not? We will update you soon.
