Starfish have had a very busy week back and we have not let the rain stop us from our learning! The topic for this half term is Me, Myself and I, and this week the children have been talking about what makes them special. Using paper templates, the children drew themselves, thinking about what they were wearing, their hair colour and length and their eye colour. Starfish have also been curious and creative in the outside area, using our whiteboards in the play shed to draw pictures of themselves and their families. In the outside tuff tray we had different coloured pasta, rice and spaghetti. The children explored the different textures and enjoyed mixing them altogether! Alongside our name writing, the children have begun learning the ‘s’ and ‘a’ sounds and have enjoyed making ‘Silly Soup’ using words that begin with those two letters.
