Dolphin Class Weekly Update 30/06/2023

This week has been assessment week in Dolphin class. The class have all shown great resilience to complete the assessments to the best of their abilities.

Elsewhere in English, we have moved onto a short, week-long topic on recounts where the class has been remembering what we did over project week. We have written model sentences on what we did throughout the week and have written a big write recounting all the different activities, tasks and trips we completed.

In Maths, we have completed our unit of perimeter, this week focusing on the perimeter of rectilinear shapes and investigating how to find missing lengths on shapes.

In topic, the class was set the task of creating a presentation on our topic question ‘is water our most valuable resource?’. Research was undertaken, slides were created then the groups took it in turns to present their findings to the rest of the class. There were lots of very interesting facts found by children, many of which we did not previously know.
