It has been a busy week in Seahorses starting our new English units. Year 2 have started writing sentences for the book ‘Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers and Year 1 and Reception have been using a clip from Button Moon to inspire them to use a range of vocabulary when describing objects. They have described Mr Spoon and his rocket as well as thinking of a meal to give to a hungry alien.
Meanwhile in maths, year 1 and 2 have been comparing numbers and working out which number is greater, less than or equal to another number. They then went on to look at how we know something is a whole or part of a whole.
In topic, Reception have been looking at people who help us and what they do to help us. It was great to see how much they already knew without needing prompting or support from an adult. Year 1 and 2 have drawn flying machines and then have started to learn how to type and write sentences on a chromebook.
