Seahorse Class Weekly Update

17/11/2023

This week we have carried on our learning about Amelia Earheart in English and topic with years 1 and 2. It has prompted lots of questions and discussions. It has made picking this week’s certificate winner very difficult. On Friday Year 2 used all their knowledge of Amelia Earheart to write a biography of her.  Meanwhile in maths, we have been looking at multiples often and putting them in the correct order and identifying different representations of multiples of 10.

In maths, reception have been learning about circles and triangles. They have made their own in the outdoor area and been on a shape hunt around the school. What shapes can you find at home? Drawing club this week has had a monster focus as we watched an episode of ‘Trapdoor’ and have designed traps to catch monsters and made breakfasts for them. In topic, reception are now thinking about their own timelines and things that are important to them. It would be lovely if possible to have some pictures sent in so we can order them and talk about the important moments in their lives.
