Starfish Preschool Weekly Update 30/06/2023

It’s been another busy week in Starfish Preschool!

This week we have been focusing on healthy eating and what different foods the children like or don’t like. At the beginning of the week the children helped to make some fruit juice ice lollies. After choosing which juice they would like, they helped to pour the juice into the mould before helping to put them in the freezer. When we tried them the next day, the children said they were delicious and even asked to make more!

In Phonics, the children have continued to look at the letters in their name and used the special chalk pens to copy the letters onto the table. The children were keen to show their writing skills and used the letter cards to help them.

We have also started transition events this week and have been talking lots in class about who will be where in September. Our older children were keen to join Seahorses for lunch and play on Monday and Friday and were keen to tell us what they had been up to and who they spent their time with.

We do however have to end our week with a sad note as we say goodbye to our student Emma. Emma has been helping in both Starfish and Seahorse class for the past two years and will be greatly missed by both the children and the adults. Hopefully she won’t be a stranger but for now we want to say a massive Thank You and wish Emma lots of luck for the future!
